Job description

The Job’s Mission:

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will help us deliver on our mission of making healthcare better by promoting and selling Stryker’s Joint Replacement product portfolio – in West Sjælland and in the South of Denmark.

Our Joint Replacement division offers market-leading implants for the hip and knee that help improve patient and hospital outcomes with procedural excellence. Additionally, in this position, you will support the sales cycle of our innovative Mako Robotics in your respective region. The Mako robot enables surgeons to have a more predictable surgical experience and shorter recovery times for patients compared to manual hip/knee procedures.

This is a newly created position to support the growth of our Joint Replacement business. Therefore, if you are passionate about healthcare, this is a great opportunity to join one of the largest medical technology organizations in the world!

Your key responsibilities:

  • In your new role, you will start with a familiarization phase with product trainings to learn about the product portfolio and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will identify, analyze and prospect new customers, while providing ongoing service to existing customers.

  • You will plan and implement strategies in the sales process and conduct negotiations including with surgeons, hospital administration and purchasing departments.

  • With the product knowledge you have built up, you advise and train medical and surgical professionals on its use during demonstrations. You will also provide clinical support in the operating room when needed.

  • You will participate congresses, seminars and business meetings to identify potential new customers and to expand your knowledge for customer contact.

  • You will prepare orders for interested customers and be a reliable partner for our customers during order follow-up.

  • You will work closely with other team members in Denmark and the Sales Manager – to ensure customer service levels are best in class. You will also exchange best practices with your team.

What are we looking for?

  • You already have demonstrable sales experience in industries such as MedTech, Pharmaceuticals, BioTech, healthcare or related.

  • Orthopedics/anatomy knowledge is not mandatory, but it is an advantage.

  • You hold a diploma/degree, preferably in fields such as business administration, physiotherapy, nursing, sciences, healthcare or in any other relevant areas or technical career.

  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English and Danish is required.

  • You hold a valid driver’s license as this position involves regular customer visits.

  • Drive: you have a strong enthusiasm for medical technology – your resilience and passion for selling complex products with the best possible customer service is very important to you!

  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills: you appreciate contact with a wide variety of people and have a talent for building and maintaining connections.

  • Empathy: you understand our customers’ needs to support our mission of making healthcare better!

What do we offer?

  • We grow talent: we offer great personal and internal career development for our employees, with the possibility to make both vertical and lateral position movement.

  • Quality products that improve the lives of our customers and patients.

  • Competitive salary: with us, you will receive a competitive salary package and benefits including an attractive pension plan.

  • Co-workers committed to collaboration and winning the right way.

  • Recognition of your performance: at Stryker, outstanding individual and cross-functional team performance is rewarded. Ideas, projects, or other exceptional achievements can be submitted for various awards on a local and global level.

  • Ability to discover your strengths, follow your passion and own your career.

  • Flat hierarchies and a culture driven to achieve our mission and deliver remarkable results.
