We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative R&D Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing automated test methods leveraging vision systems and other automated tools. This role is critical to driving innovation, improving efficiency, and reducing labor in our testing processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Vision Systems: Design, develop, and deploy vision systems to automate visual inspection and testing processes. Automate Test Methods: Create and optimize automated test methods for various products, ensuring accuracy and repeatability. Innovation and Efficiency: Identify opportunities for innovation in testing processes and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce manual labor. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data from automated tests, generate detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product development, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of automated test systems. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in vision systems and automation technologies, and continuously seek ways to improve current test methods. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical support for vision systems and automated test equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance.

Majors targeted: Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering

What You Need

Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer.
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and will be verified during background check in the spring
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and proven leadership and business acumen skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
