Job description
The Program Management Office Intern will support various process improvement initiatives related to new product development, business excellence or portfolio selection processes. Additionally, the intern will support existing projects by owning the execution of cross-functional deliverables and tasks.
*This role can be located in either Salt Lake City, Utah or San Jose, California.

Project Management Office (PMO) Intern:
As a Project Management intern at Stryker, you will participate in the achievement of the Project Management Office's objectives through data entry, analysis, and metrics. A Project Management Intern builds strong relationships with program, project, and portfolio managers and works to understand their needs and processes that enable them. This includes contributing to development of tools and processes that provide value to the Project Management Office. This position provides direct support to teams across the governance organization to ensure the teams can focus on collaboration and increase speed to execution.
Product Development Intern:
Under immediate direction and under work guidance of a Sr. Project Manager, assists and supports organization in leadership of various new product development projects and process improvements. Typical duties: provide support with projects (schedule project meetings, assist with project documentation, document meeting minutes, and project action/task items); create/analyze process workflows to increase efficiency with cross-functional partners; analyzing data trends, creating reports; creates and maintains files; drafts internal correspondence; performs general and/or clerical duties as assigned. etc.
Majors Targeted: Business Analytics, Engineering Management, Engineering
What You Need
Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer.
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and will be verified during background check in the spring
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and proven leadership and business acumen skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
$19 min hourly wage – $33 max hourly wage and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location.
