Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Staff Engineer is the Subject Matter Expert across a number of Engineering competencies including mostly manufacturing and automation but also Lean six sigma. The Staff Engineer will provide technical leadership in the Stryker facility across all automated processes. They will possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of Automation specialization and deliver complex assignments.

Scope of duties

  • Management of significant Engineering projects through PMO
  • Provide Technical leadership from an engineering perspective
  • Technical and operational support to manufacturing operations 
  • Local Process expert process automation
  • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in appropriate OS and Material specifications
  • Structured problem solving
  • Continuously improve the performance of the process
  • Provide support to Process Development / Advanced Operations on technology development and application within the manufacturing process
  • Selection of machines manufacturers potential suppliers, leading process of machine qualification based on created URS and qualification protocols.  
  • Creation of all relevant Work Instructions and Procedures .
  • Taking part/leading in development process of PFEMA, Control Plans.
  • Conducting SPC and MSA studies for new/modified processes.
  • Integration of new process with MES / SAP systems.
  • Lead role in process validation procedure / documentation.
  • Train and mentor operators and engineers

Our expectations

  • Master degree in mechanics, industrial engineering or similar.
  • 5 years’ experience in serial production industries (MedTech or Automotive preferable).  
  • Experience and knowledge in process validation/PPAP.
  • Experience in automation of grinding, polishing, forming processes will be an advantage.
  • Experience in implementing new processes/technologies/production lines automation.
  • Familiar with GD&T.
  • Experience in using analytical tools like  PFMEA, SPC, MSA, DoE will be an advantage.
  • Experience in Vision Systems, Robot programming.
  • Very good PC skills.
  • Very good English communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience within MedTech, pharma, food or any highly regulated environment based on GMP (good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
  • Experience in NC/CAPA initiatives and engineering changes.
