You will need to live within commuting distance to our Mahwah, New Jersey office. You will need to be in the office 2 days a week and can work from home on other days.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision.
- Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions.
- Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance.
- Identify and resolve complex design issues using data-driven analysis to improve processes and outcomes.
- Apply clinical knowledge to author design inputs and support Voice of Customer sessions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).
- Minimum four years of relevant product engineering or product design experience.
- Experience designing mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency in engineering drawing creation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
