Job description
What You Will Do:
Perform electrical/software engineering work on new product development and product engineering projects including technical expertise, risk assessments, task scheduling/forecasting, and systems engineering analysis
Work closely with test engineering and quality teams to develop and execute product test plans
Prepare and perform design reviews and failure methods analysis
Assist in evaluating vendor capability to support product development
Assist the design teams in analyzing acquired data and failures in order to provide actionable information to help improve design quality and efficiency with respect to compliance
Act as technical lead for design, sustainment engineering, and test team members, third party labs, or contractors as necessary
As necessary, participate in audits by regulatory compliance agencies in order to provide expertise and input for any technical issues, actions, or decisions
Primary representative for all compliance related issues affecting new product development or existing product sustainment engineering
What You Need:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
5+ years design engineering or related experience
Strong applied knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, theories and methods with levels of depth and expertise in one or more areas
Knowledge of embedded system and power electronic
Excellent analytical skills, communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving skills
Proficiency in English – reading, writing and speaking
Working knowledge of the typical lab tools: oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
Demonstrated ability to assemble prototype circuits and operate typical tools (e.g. soldering stations, inspection equipment, etc.)
