Staff CAD / Drafting Specialist
Tempe, AZ

What You Will Do
- Design and develop 3D CAD models and drawings for concept, prototype, and production, focusing on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and accuracy.
- Create and refine components, subsystems, fixtures, and tooling in compliance with internal and external standards.
- Lead or support engineering change control processes, including documentation creation and release.
- Analyze R&D input independently and deliver actionable design outputs that support project success.
- Contribute to product development by applying knowledge of current offerings and competitive landscape.
- Mentor peers on CAD, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and related systems, resolving technical issues and building team capability.
- Participate in cross-functional teams during product ideation, testing, and prototype delivery, driving alignment and collaboration.
- Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma with 6 years of additional relevant CAD experience, or associate degree with 4 years, or bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in 3D CAD design and related software.
- Expertise in CAD modeling, drafting standards, and GD&T.
- Experience with PLM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or supporting cross-functional design projects.
- Familiarity with intellectual property considerations in design.
- Ability to contribute to process improvements and standard reviews.
$77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual
