Job description
As a Senior Staff Product Engineer, you will play a key leadership role within the Product Engineering team, driving design changes for existing commercial products to enhance performance, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency within Stryker's Sports Medicine business unit.

You will need to live within commuting distance of our Denver, Colorado office. You will need to be in the office three days per week.
What you will do:
Mentor and develop others, lead change processes, and identify improvements to drive business success and project excellence.
Independently research, design, develop, and verify components and sub-systems for medical devices, ensuring user needs and clinical requirements are met.
Design and conduct advanced prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve complex product design issues.
Lead selection of components and equipment based on specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Act as technical lead for change control on projects, driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring compliance, and managing risks to achieve project objectives.
Drive product and process improvements to ensure cost-efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to influence business goals and innovation, while ensuring sustainable product solutions.
Oversee product testing for design verification, validation, and compliance with engineering standards.
Lead product design and process improvements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations (e.g., design controls, risk management).
What you need:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, quality engineering, sustaining engineering, project management, or a related field within a highly regulated industry
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) SolidWorks experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) (e.g. ANSYS) experience
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience
Product design for injection molding and design metal components with tight tolerancing experience
$98,000.00 - $210,100.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
