Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Lead to manage and drive complex digital and data-centric projects within our R&D Lab in Brisbane (Herston Health Precinct).

This role requires a blend of project management expertise, technical acumen, and collaboration with both internal and external partners, including academic partners and healthcare practitioners, to address clinical unmet needs and develop innovative data solutions.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the development of data management solutions, clinical research partnerships and support data extraction and interpretation. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with internal Stryker divisional partners and external healthcare partners to understand clinical unmet needs and develop digital project strategies.  

  • Lead and manage digital projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and stakeholder expectations. 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. 

  • Define and manage the data assets from point of care devices and health system partnerships, ensuring secure availability and optimal use of data resources. 

  • Assist with raw data extraction, interpretation, and engineering from Stryker equipment and assets. 

  • Monitor and ensure data quality, conduct data verification, and assist with database maintenance. 

  • Collaborate with data privacy and security teams to ensure compliance with data laws. 

  • Support University partners with technical insights and publications. 

  • Developing and reviewing trial protocols including literature searches of published articles  

  • Coordinating communication with the ethics committee and study sites, including completion of ethics application and associated governance documents  

  • Stay informed of industry best practices and continuously develop skills for improved data management capabilities. 

Preferred experience: 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline, clinical or related fields.   

  • 6+ years experience in the medical device industry. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, strong stakeholder engagement and lead cross-functional project teams to deliver on established project timelines.  

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority. 

  • Experience in implementing and data governance/management tools.

  • Experience in digital health, development of AI/ML software products or prototypes desirable.

  • Experience on managing clinical studies, governance and ethics submissions desirable.
