What you will do
Serve as a key business partner to Divisional Finance and Operations teams supporting them in Financial Compliance, Internal Control, and Technical Accounting matters
Lead and develop a team of Financial Compliance and Technical accounting professionals
Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of key controls within the Orthopaedics and Spine divisions of Stryker
Advise on and implement newly issued Corporate Finance Policies and accounting guidance (US GAAP)
Engage with Internal and External Audit teams and Finance Business Partners, functioning as an extension of the divisional team, proactively communicating and leading meetings to resolve issues and implement improvements
Oversee the execution of key divisional controls such as revenue recognition, balance sheet reviews, key account determination, etc.
Facilitate, review, and track non-GAAP approval requests and spend
Partner with Commercial Finance, Selling, Sales Operations and Customer Service to perform accounting and reporting related to contractual arrangements from inception of contract through contract expiry, as well as certain reserve accruals including variable consideration
Perform ad-hoc analyses to support Business Partner needs and the Orthopaedics Controller
What you need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA required
10+ years’ experience in Accounting including Audit Experience (Big 4 Experience preferred)
Solid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley, PCAOB Auditing Standards, and US GAAP
