Job description

What you will do:

You will lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities and NPI in support of overall divisional business objectives You will formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. You will develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.

  • Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as required.  Advises others on selection/cost analysis.

  • Leads development of contract strategy.  Negotiates, establishes, monitors, and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.  

  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses.  

  • Partners and develops relationships with senior executive leadership at strategic suppliers.

  • Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.      

  • Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.

  • Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.  

  • Collaborate across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop sourcing strategies and key supplier scorecards and business reviews.  

  • Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.                    

  • 8 years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.  

Preferred Skills:            

  • Knowledge and direct application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration.     

  • Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base.

  • Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services.    

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders, and top management.     

  • Ability build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies & cost reduction methodologies.

  • Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.

  • Project Management knowledge and experience   

127,200.00 - 208,000.00 USD Annual salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
