Job description

What you will do:

You will lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives You will formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. You will develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.

  • Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as required.  Advises others on selection/cost analysis.

  • Leads development of contract strategy.  Negotiates, establishes, monitors, and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.  

  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses.  

  • Partners and develops relationships with senior executive leadership at strategic suppliers.

  • Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.      

  • Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.

  • Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.  

  • Collaborate across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop sourcing strategies and key supplier scorecards and business reviews.  

  • Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.                    

  • 8 years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.  

Preferred:            

  • SAP experience

$129,800 - $216,400 USD Annual
