Job description

Stryker is seeking a Sourcing Manager, Best Cost Location (BCL) to support global supply base optimization initiatives across multiple sourcing categories. In this role, you will identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers in strategic low-cost regions while balancing cost, quality, compliance, and supply continuity. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive sourcing decisions, supplier qualification activities, and commercial negotiations within a regulated manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers across Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Central America, Latin America, and other strategic sourcing regions.
  • Conduct market intelligence activities to assess supplier capabilities, pricing, capacity, and regional sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead supplier qualification processes, including capability assessments, financial reviews, quality audits, and compliance evaluations.
  • Manage RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes to support supplier selection and sourcing decisions.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and long-term commercial agreements to achieve cost reduction and value creation targets.
  • Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and sourcing recommendations for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, delivery, and risk metrics.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Logistics, and Procurement teams to execute sourcing strategies and supplier transitions.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or a related function.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sourcing or procurement, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, or supplier management.
  • Advanced English proficiency, written and verbal.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade compliance fundamentals.
  • Experience conducting supplier assessments and commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical technology, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience managing suppliers in Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Central America, or Latin America.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent.
  • Working proficiency in a second language relevant to global sourcing regions.
