Job description

As a Software Test Technician you will provide technical support for Neptune to our R&D team by developing and recommending procedures and methods, determining root cause and preparing technical reports and documentation for our Instruments portfolio.

This role is on-site 5 days a week in Portage, MI.

What you will do:

  • Take ownership for the testing effort of software for medical devices
  • Develop and execute robust software verification test procedures
  • Understand Software and System requirements
  • Be responsible for documentation of test procedures and test forms, as well as supporting documents
  • Drive root cause investigations for failures from software tests
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams in software verification and validation testing

What you need

Required:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of applicable experience

Preferred:

  • Regulated industry experience such as Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Communication, and/or automotive embedded software control experience is a plus.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, etc.
  • Experience with debugging tools and methods
  • Strong attention to detail and task organizational skills
