Job description

Location: Johannesburg 

As a Senior Warehouse Coordinator Outbound, you will support Stryker’s distribution operations by ensuring outbound warehouse activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in line with quality and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and dispatch of products so that customers receive their orders on time and in full. 

What You Will Do 

  • Support the Department Manager in achieving divisional KPIs and operational objectives. 

  • Coordinate operative workloads to ensure all daily activities and end-of-shift procedures are completed. 

  • Act as a process expert by troubleshooting operational issues to ensure smooth service delivery. 

  • Take ownership of processes to ensure competency and adherence to standards across all operatives. 

  • Oversee production, non-production, and return-based activities related to outbound operations, including picking, packing, and shipping. 

  • Ensure completion of trade compliance documentation for shipments between South Africa, Northern Ireland, and the EU, maintaining CHIEF reporting requirements. 

  • Own warehouse quality measures by investigating and recording damaged goods, missing items, or incorrectly located stock. 

  • Lead compliance, inventory, and quality-related activities to meet business and regulatory requirements, including Human Tissue handling where applicable. 

  • Escalate discrepancies or operational challenges to the Department Manager when necessary. 

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. 

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at local and regional levels. 

  • Promote a safe working environment and champion quality standards to ensure 100% accuracy in all activities. 

  • Drive engagement aligned with Stryker’s culture and operational values. 

  • Support additional operational needs in line with business requirements. 

 

What You Will Need 

Required: 

  • Matric 

  • NQF 6 (Diploma or Degree) 

  • Professional working proficiency in English 

  • 5–7 years of experience in warehousing or similar operational environments 

  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse processes and ERP/WMS systems (e.g., JDE or similar) 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas) 

  • Ability to apply sound judgment and make decisions in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and process improvement skills 

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards 

 

Preferred: 

  • Tertiary education (College or University) 

  • Experience supporting regulated environments such as medical devices or healthcare logistics
