Job description
As a (Senior) Test Engineer (m/f/d), Biomechanics in Freiburg, Germany, you will play a key role in product safety testing, focusing on performance and verification activities for new product development, primarily for implants and instruments in the facial area or chest wall. You will work in a collaborative, international environment, ensuring that testing meets the highest quality and regulatory standards.
Please be aware that this is initially a fixed-term position until 31.12.2026.
What you will do
Define, plan, and execute performance and verification tests for new product development, focusing on implants and instruments in the facial area or chest wall.
Conduct data analysis, statistical evaluation, and thorough documentation of test results.
Coordinate testing activities with external laboratories and collaborate with international colleagues.
Support multi-site, international projects and testing activities across various laboratories.
Optimize existing operations and processes to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
Prepare and write comprehensive technical reports in English.
What you will need
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Biomechanics, Medical Engineering, or a related field.
0-5 years of professional experience in testing medical products, mechanical components, or biomaterials.
Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and technical documentation.
Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively in an international environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with verification testing for cleaning and sterilization processes, and biocompatibility testing or evaluation.
Experience in executing verification testing campaigns.
Experience in the medical device industry, with specific expertise related to testing, osteosynthesis or similar areas.
