At Sage, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment supporting products that help improve patient and caregiver safety. You will bring technical depth, practical engineering judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset to help ensure our products perform reliably in real-world use environments.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute test plans in partnership with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, electrical/software test teams, and technicians.
  • Lead the development of test systems and fixtures to support product development, design verification, reliability testing, and failure investigation.
  • Partner with electrical and software test engineers to integrate hardware, software, controls, and data acquisition systems into test fixtures and lab equipment.
  • Analyze test data, identify failure modes, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve product quality, durability, reliability, and design performance.
  • Evaluate, recommend, procure, and maintain actuation systems, instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition tools, and other technologies to continuously improve test methods and lab capabilities.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and support product reliability improvement efforts through test data analysis, failure analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Serve as a technical lead for test team members, technicians, contractors, external labs, suppliers, and cross-functional partners as needed.
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert on test methods, reliability tools, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Share best practices across teams and sites, participate in global technical forums, and contribute to continuous improvement of test systems, procedures, and capabilities.

What You Need

  • 6+ years of experience in test engineering, product development, reliability engineering, mechanical/electromechanical testing, or a related engineering field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LabVIEW, Pro/ENGINEER/Creo, ANSYS, Nastran, or similar engineering analysis and test tools.
  • Experience with mechanical, electromechanical, or dynamic testing methods, including force, load, stress, strain, fatigue, durability, reliability, or life-cycle testing.
  • Experience with statistical and reliability tools such as design of experiments, measurement system analysis, Weibull analysis, reliability modeling, or similar methods.
  • Experience supporting root-cause analysis, failure investigations, design verification, or product reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams, technicians, external labs, contractors, suppliers, manufacturing partners, or operations teams.
