Are you a seasoned professional with deep expertise in advanced surface treatment and metallurgical processes? Stryker is seeking a Senior Metallurgical Surface Treatment Engineer to drive our cutting-edge material refinement initiatives. This senior role is crucial in ensuring the highest levels of material performance, structural integrity, and compliance with industry standards through complex, technical processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the execution of complex metallurgical processes, including advanced surface treatments and material structural modifications.

  • Utilize specialized techniques such as electro-polishing, vibro-abrasive treatment, shot peening, and high-precision coating applications to optimize material properties.

  • Develop and oversee User Requirements Specifications (URS) for sophisticated machinery and manage the end-to-end procurement and commissioning process.

  • Administer critical data management within SAP systems, ensuring precise tracking of surface treatment protocols, equipment lifecycle, and maintenance schedules.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance material integrity, ensuring adherence to stringent regulatory and industry requirements, including ISO 13485 and GMP.

  • Perform detailed process analyses through routine inspections and sophisticated evaluations, maintaining comprehensive records of performance metrics and outcomes.

  • Spearhead training programs and mentorship initiatives, providing advanced guidance on coating protocols, safety regulations, and technical process execution.

  • Actively participate in strategic projects, including PFMEA, Control Plans, SOP, and PPAP, driving the continuous evolution of production part approval and product transfer protocols.

What do you need?

Required:

  • Extensive experience in advanced metallurgy and surface treatment technologies, with deep knowledge of cutting-edge material refinement techniques.

  • Expertise in sophisticated surface treatment methods, including electro-polishing, shot peening, and advanced surface preparation.

  • Strong background in structural material modification within industrial applications, ensuring optimal material performance.

  • Proven experience in developing URS for high-end equipment and managing complex procurement and commissioning processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in SAP systems for technical data management and equipment maintenance.

  • Analytical acumen in diagnosing and resolving complex issues within surface treatment and material sciences.

  • Ability to work autonomously and strategically collaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, and production teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • Fluency in Polish and English.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in surface treatment technologies or advanced metallurgical processes.

  • Experience leading PFMEA, Control Plans, SOP, and PPAP initiatives.
