Job description

In this role you will lead the process improvement activities for existing additive custom CMF implants. You will guide the AO team in a leading technical role in developing new chemical surface treatment processes enabling faster process times and lower costs. Collaborating with other AO members and both technical and non-technical staff in other departments, you determine appropriate solutions within the manufacturing process of maxillofacial surgical solutions at Stryker. 

What you will do:

  • Independently determines, develops, leads and/ or moderates technical solutions in the field of process improvement. 

  • Takes ownership for the surface treatment process of additive patient-specific implants. 

  • Builds productive internal and external working relationships and may periodically provide guidance and train other team members. 

  • Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development procedures. 

  • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications

What you will need:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in engineering

  • 3-5 years of work experience in process and/or product development.

  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product, and process design.  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open minded with the ability to recognize good ideas. 

  • Innovative thinker – should be able to envisage new and better ways of doing things. 

Preferred: 

  • Deep knowledge of chemical processes for surface treatment. 

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably in medical devices
