Job description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to implement hardware and software strategies to integrate our products and systems. This engineer will focus on implementing several HW and SW technologies, based on systems engineering principles. The Engineer's responsibilities include implementing SW/HW user requirements and defining scalable system-process-functionality.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the HW & SW development life cycle and system analysis to test and deploy HW/SW packages.

What you will do:

  • Provide engineering support for new products and processes, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented by Stryker's new product development procedures related to SW/HW
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Work with R&D and engineers to develop SW for electromechanical equipment
  • Perform complex SW/HW troubleshooting with the on-site production and remote teams
  • Design and implement SW test processes for current and new products
  • Execute testing to eliminate no trouble fund (NTF) nonconformities
  • Work closely with design engineers to quickly identify SW test issues that may result in design changes
  • Conduct Gauge R&R, DOEs, and CP/CPK analysis
  • Create schematics and recommend relevant test equipment
  • Lead the transfer of engineering test procedures to the Operations and Service teams
  • Participate in DFM, PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches
  • Conduct MSA studies for new products and new processes
  • Review and approve of validation documentation
  • Introduce innovative SW testing technology and strategies while focusing on speed to market

Minimum Qualification:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education/experience. MS is a plus.
  • 6+ years experience
  • Experience reviewing schematics and PCBA manufacturing processes

Preferred Skills:

  • MS degree
  • Knowledge of LabView, Test Stand, and Python or relevant knowledge i
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Enjoys mentoring other engineers and working on a cross functional team
  • Experience in developing SW for electromechanical equipment
  • Experience in process mapping, statistical methods, and process/ product validations would prove beneficial.
  • Must be able to complete detailed SW/HW documentation accurately
