The Job’s Mission:

As Senior Sales Representative, you will help us deliver on our mission of making healthcare better by promoting and selling Stryker’s Joint Replacement medical devices – covering the Western Netherlands region. Some of the main cities in your territory will be: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Breda, etc.

Our Joint Replacement division offers market-leading implants for the hip and knee that help improve patient and hospital outcomes with procedural excellence. Additionally, in this position, you will support the sales cycle of our innovative Mako Robotics in your respective region. The Mako robot enables surgeons to have a more predictable surgical experience and shorter recovery times for patients compared to manual hip/knee procedures.

This is a prominent position in the Netherlands Sales team and a great next step within our Sales career path! In this role, you will develop strategic approaches to support the acquisition of new customers as well as to ensure customer service levels are best in class. If you are passionate about healthcare, this is a great opportunity to join one of the world’s leading medical technology organizations!

What you will do:

  • In your new role, you will start with a familiarization phase with product trainings to learn about the product portfolio and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prospect new customers, understand their needs, while also providing ongoing service to existing customers: fostering trust relationships and customer loyalty.

  • Develop and execute business plans. You will implement strategies in the sales process and conduct negotiations including with surgeons, hospital administration and purchasing departments. You understand the long-term pipeline within the territory and utilize this information as part of business planning.

  • With the product and clinical knowledge you’ve developed, you will inform, advise and train medical and surgical professionals also during demonstrations. You will also provide clinical support in the operating room when needed.

  • Participate/lead projects of significance to our business.

  • Leverage cross-departmental opportunities to add value to propositions, prepare orders for interested customers and be a reliable partner for our customers also during order follow-up and after-sales.

  • With your expertise and leadership skills, you will act as a coach/mentor for other Sales professionals.

  • Participate congresses, seminars and business meetings to identify potential new customers and to expand your knowledge for customer contact.

What you need:

Required:

  • 5+ years of Sales experience. Part of this experience is in industries such as MedTech, BioTech, Pharmaceuticals, healthcare or related.

  • You hold a diploma/degree – preferably in fields such as business, physiotherapy, nursing, healthcare or in any other relevant areas.

  • Excellent interpersonal communications and persuasion skills – with proficiency in Dutch and English.

  • Relationship skills: you appreciate contact with a wide variety of people and enjoy building and maintaining connections. You also consider yourself a great team player.

  • You are enthusiastic about (medical) technology – your resilience and motivation for selling technical products with the best possible customer service is very important to you.

  • You demonstrate adaptability, organizational and analytical skills.

  • You have a valid driver’s license as this position involves regular customer visits.

Preferred:

  • Orthopedics/anatomy knowledge is not mandatory, but it is an advantage.

What we offer:

  • Flat hierarchies and a culture committed to achieve our mission and deliver remarkable results.

  • We grow talent: we offer great personal and internal career development for our employees, with the possibility to make both vertical and lateral position movement.

  • Recognition of your performance: at Stryker, outstanding individual and cross-functional team performance is rewarded. Ideas, projects, or other exceptional achievements can be submitted for various awards on a local and global level.

  • Collaborative and inclusive environment: join a team that values diversity and inclusion, fostering a supportive and innovative workplace.

  • An attractive salary and benefits package including company car, pension plan, etc.

  • Quality products that improve the lives of our customers and patients.

  • Ability to discover your strengths, follow your passion and own your career.
