What you will do

Working in part of Stryker’s Trauma division, a unique opportunity has arisen for a motivated, driven, and successful Regional Sales Manager to lead a team of 4 Sales Representatives in the North of Italy.

You will be responsible for the overall management of your region, developing and leading your team, and taking ownership for sales and budgets within your territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly into the Business Unit Manager, Trauma & Extremities you will deliver against a quarterly and yearly budget
  • Accurately forecast business and a sustainable develop sales pipeline.
  • Attract, develop, engage and lead a high performing sales team, supporting and driving them to accelerate business
  • Support and collaborate with our Enabling Function teams to ensure a smooth Order to Cash process is maintained and our customers receive the highest levels of service.
  • Ensure positive and detailed account communication between the team and other in-house teams, providing feedback to senior management as required.
  • Develop strategic healthcare systems relationships.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, such as revenue, sales activities, and conversion rates, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Embrace & enable change to simplify, scale & innovate
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading complex sales cycles typically defined as six months or longer with multiple partners, decision-makers, and influencers at multiple levels.
  • As a Senior RSM you will be expected to stand in for your manager during any periods of absence
  • Act as a role model for other RSMs in the team – demonstrating proactive best-practice sharing and informal peer-to-peer coaching /feedback as appropriate
  • Have a good understanding of Healthcare Economics and how we can use data to inform strategic decisions
  • You will have demonstrable evidence of developing talent & how you have fostered inclusive & diverse teams
  • Play an active role in projects / take the lead in key business processes as asked of you by your immediate manager
  • Embrace & lead change to simplify, scale & innovate
  • Demonstrate proactive cross-collaboration with other divisions locally or within your division across Europe – act as a role model for the advantages of collaboration
  • Be proactive in taking part in wider Stryker initiatives & projects both across Europe and Globally e.g. Employee Resources Groups / mentoring outside of your division / Stryker communities

Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Administration, Sales or Marketing or related experience/training in a medical, scientific, technical field
  • At least 3 years proven success as a high performing sales leader 
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding targets during this period
  • 5+ years of sales experience working with Medical Devices products
  • Commercial skills in leading a profit centre
  • Native or C2 level of Italian with advanced level of English (C1)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally product and sales knowledge in the Medical Devices sector within the theatre environment
  • Indirect channels management
  • MBA or Masters

Role details:

  • Territory: North Italy (Triveneto, Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria, Sardegna)
  • Based Location: any major or well-connected city of the northern regions of Italy
