Job description
As the Senior R&D Manager, you will oversee the development, engagement, and collaboration of your 10 direct reports, as well as work closely with the Neptune S product project team.

What you will do:
Develop, direct and performance manage direct reports to maximize their potential in an efficient manner.
Lead technical projects during the research phase of new product development.
Own technology development and planning to support the future needs of the business, market, and customers.
Work with project managers to resource manage projects within associated areas of responsibilities to meet the needs of the business unit.
Ensure activities align with the business unit and divisions strategic initiatives.
Ensure continued intellectual property development and applications for patents where appropriate.
Provides training and learning opportunities to ensure project and professional development are met.
Motivates and leads teams to achieve exceptional results and recruits highly talented employees.
Assists in and/or completes the development of budgets and monitors spending.
Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships.
Works within divisions to maintain relationships and foster utilization of best practices.
What you need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 10 years of new product development experience in engineering, quality, regulatory, or manufacturing engineering within a highly regulated industry (automotive, pharma, aerospace), including 4 years of people management experience and 3 years of full product launch life cycle experience as a design engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the medical device industry
6 years of direct people management experience
5 years of product launch life cycle experience as a design engineer
