Job description

Senior Project Manager, R&D
Fremont, CA or Salt Lake City, UT

Join a role where you will lead complex, cross-functional projects supporting commercialized products and new product introductions. This position focuses on delivering business continuity, regulatory compliance, and value improvement across multiple initiatives. You will work closely with engineering, quality, operations, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure projects are executed effectively and aligned with business objectives.

Work Flexibility:
Hybrid: candidates must reside within commuting distance of Fremont, CA or Salt Lake City, UT and be able to work onsite several days per week.

What You Will Do

  • Lead development of project charters, management plans, and governance structures to guide execution.
  • Define and manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables using structured planning tools and maintaining alignment with stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis and milestone tracking.
  • Establish and monitor project budgets, ensuring costs remain within approved targets.
  • Create and maintain risk management plans, identifying risks early and driving mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources, define roles and responsibilities, and monitor team performance against deliverables.
  • Align project activities with regulatory pathways and ensure required quality system documentation is completed.
  • Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to support process readiness, validation, and product launch activities.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a highly regulated environment, including project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects in a regulated environment
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and risk plans
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience supporting new product introduction or product lifecycle management
  • Experience working with regulatory and quality systems
  • Vascular or Neurovascular experience, including catheter, stent and guidewire


United States of America Pay Ranges:

  • US5: $107,700 - $179,600 USD Annual
  • US30: $133,400 - $222,300 USD Annual
