Job description
The Advanced Operations Custom Implants Team is looking for a Senior Engineer experienced in lean manufacturing methodologies and processes. This role requires to establishing and applying optimization methods for the additive manufacturing line in Freiburg, where Stryker manufactures patient-specific titanium implants. The Senior Engineer will closely collaborate with the CI operations teams and provide advanced technical, engineering and process support to improve the existing production line.
What you will do:
Management of significant Engineering projects from a Lean manufacturing perspective
Provide technical leadership from a Lean manufacturing perspective
Drive within Advanced Operations and with internal and external stakeholders, technology development and application within the manufacturing processes
Closely collaborate with Operations on improving the performance of machines and production
Continuously improve the performance of the process by using Lean manufacturing tools (6S, SMED, etc.)
Engage in the implementation of lean manufacture principles within manufacturing.
Creation of all relevant Work Instructions and Procedures.
Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation, SOPs and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Integration of new processes with focus on MES / SAP systems.
Support role in process validation procedure / documentation.
Train and mentor engineers and establish with all internal stakeholders a cross-functional team driving improvement.
Your Qualifications:
Master degree in mechanics, industrial engineering or similar.
4-7 years experience in serial production industries (MedTech or Automotive preferable).
Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen methodology, 6S etc.
Experience in implementing new lean solutions in mass production environment.
Very good PC skills.
Very good English communication skills.
