Job description
Summary:
In this exceptional role you will support the process optimization within Advanced Operations (AO) for 3D- printed patient-specific titanium implants with special emphasis on digitalization of the shopfloor. You will define and execute the digital journey for the additive process; in particular for the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Collaborating with other AO members as well as Operations and Lean experts in other departments, you determine and implement appropriate software solutions for the digitalization of the manufacturing process of maxillofacial surgical products at Stryker.
What you will do:
Drive the development, assessment, recommendations, and implementation of continuous improvement simplify processes, eliminate non-value adding times, reduce operational risk and achieve cost efficiency in the manufacturing process chain
Continuously improve the performance of the entire process chain by using Lean manufacturing and Digitization methods and tools (6S, MES, etc.)
Management of significant Engineering projects from Lean manufacturing perspective
Provide Technical leadership from a Lean manufacturing perspective
Actively support Process Development and new technology investigations as well as implementation into the manufacturing process
Implement a MES for CMF Custom products by cross-functional collaboration with all relevant stakeholders on site in Freiburg and connect the MES to all relevant machines, equipment and tools
Focus on process standardization while implementing innovative solutions
Creation of all relevant Work Instructions and Procedures, support process validation activities, train and mentor operators and engineers
What you need:
Required:
Master degree in mechanics, industrial engineering or similar
4 years experience in serial production industries (MedTech or Automotive preferable)
Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen methodology, 6S etc.
Experience in implementing new lean solutions in mass production environment
Experience in using MES systems such as Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell Automation, Ignition
Very good English communication skills
Preferred:
Database Management skills
Data Analysis experience for example Power BI
Script knowledge for example Python, C#, C++
Integration knowledge for SAP and SQL desirable
Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing
