Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Work Center Dispatching & Sequencing.

Execute daily / shift-based dispatching of work orders to each work center. Adjust sequences in real-time based on machine availability, material shortages, and urgent customer orders.

2. Internal Material Movement Coordination

Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to move finished goods from production lines to shipping staging areas. Ensure timely handover to outbound logistics.

3. Priority Order Execution Apply priority rules (e.g., FIFO, ASAP, customer promise dates) to re-sequence jobs dynamically throughout the shift. Communicate changes immediately to production teams. 

4. Master Schedule Execution Support 

Provide field feedback to master planners on schedule feasibility, actual run times, and constraint bottlenecks. Assist in refining daily master schedule slices for execution purposes.

 5, WIP Monitoring &  Reduction.

Conduct daily walk-throughs of work-in-process inventory. Identify and flag aged / stalled WIP for immediate disposition. Physically coordinate rework, scrap, or transfer actions to keep floor WIP at target levels.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Schedule adherence (% of work orders started/completed on time)

· WIP aging (days in process, stalled order count)

· Internal shipment on-time handover rate

· Number of priority changeovers / adjustments per shift (workload indicator)

 

Qualifications

· Requirement Detail

· Education High school diploma or equivalent; Associate/Bachelor preferred but not required

· Experience 4+ years in production scheduling, shop-floor coordination, or material control in a manufacturing environment

· Technical Skills Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar); proficient in Excel

· Soft Skills Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-variability environment

· Other Requirements Ability:  to spend 33%+ of working time on the shop floor; walking, standing, and interacting with production staff
