Job description
As a Senior Principal Analyst, IT Data & Analytics you will be responsible for enforcing and implementing robust strategies to manage and mitigate risks associated with data across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, assess potential threats, and implement measures to protect sensitive information. This role requires a strong understanding of data risk management, data security, compliance requirements, and risk management principles to ensure the confidentially, integrity, and accessibility of Stryker's data solutions are maintained.
What you will do
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and compliance frameworks to ensure consistent data management practices, promoting data integrity, accountability, and alignment with organizational objectives across all business units.
- Align data risk management strategies to overall organizational goals by conducting data risk assessments for Stryker IT and business-owned systems, including machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), to drive the remediation of identified risks, while implementing programs that establish integrated data security and privacy standards across all Stryker platforms.
- Develop and maintain data quality and reliability controls to effectively manage data risks, while leading regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics assets.
- Conduct solution design reviews to ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards, verifying that all solutions align with industry best practices and relevant legal requirements before deployment into production.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, and legal teams to monitor geopolitical regulations, compliance, privacy, and related guidelines, assessing their impact on data governance and architecture strategy and implementation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
What you need
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data risk management, data & analytics, data security, audit and compliance.
- Experience in data architecture, data governance, compliance frameworks, data & analytics principles.
- Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with medical device or regulated industry.
- Certifications in data architecture data governance, financial or compliance audits, such as CDMP, CIGO, CISA, CIPP.
