Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Preclinical Specialist to join our Stryker Neurovascular Division based in Fremont, CA in an onsite work environment.

What you will do

As the Senior Preclinical Specialist, you will support the planning and execution of high‑quality preclinical performance studies to assess the safety and effectiveness of Stryker Neurovascular devices. You will contribute to multiple product development and business continuity programs while collaborating with cross‑functional and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with R&D and Marketing to facilitate and execute hands‑on product evaluation and in vitro modeling activities

  • Support preclinical activities across multiple New Product Development and Business Continuity projects, including study coordination, data collection and documentation, and operational support

  • Assist with competitive product purchasing, consultant contract coordination, invoicing, and preclinical milestone cost proposal support

  • Support the development, review, and execution of preclinical protocols in compliance with Stryker Neurovascular Quality principles

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize observations and data from preclinical studies

  • Support scheduling, maintenance, and readiness of Stryker Neurovascular preclinical laboratories

  • Coordinate onsite and offsite studies while maintaining required training and compliance

  • Develop the capability to provide model selection input (animal, bench, cadaver) to core project teams

Physical requirements

  • Medium work, including exerting up to 20 pounds of force

  • Ability to wear radiation protection clothing for extended periods (up to ~8 hours/day as needed)

  • Open to domestic and international travel (up to 30%) to support projects as needed

What you need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or healthcare‑related field

  • 2+ years of full-time experience in preclinical or scientific research, medical, nursing, veterinary, or CRO environments

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and laboratory operations experience

$101,000.00 - $168,400.00 USD salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
