Job description

What you will do: 

As the Senior Portfolio Manager within our Trauma business unit, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating customer, market, and competitive insights to guide portfolio strategy and future product development. You will translate customer and market needs into product requirements, generate data-driven recommendations to support portfolio decisions, and lead product lifecycle management efforts to optimize portfolio performance. Working closely with R&D and cross-functional teams, you will drive the development and commercialization of innovative solutions that meet customer needs and advance business objectives. 

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize market research, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and third-party data to identify industry trends, assess market opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.  

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, patients, and key stakeholders by leveraging market research, key opinion leaders, and qualitative and quantitative insights to create compelling value propositions and drive business growth.  

  • Evaluate market research methodologies and results, including statistical significance, hypothesis testing, validity, and reliability, to ensure actionable and data-driven recommendations.  

  • Lead cross-functional new product development efforts, collaborating with Commercial, Clinical, Product Marketing, and other stakeholders throughout the product development and commercialization process.  

  • Build and maintain financial business cases, including investment analysis, forecasting, customer acquisition and retention economics, market opportunity assessments, and return-on-investment models to support portfolio and funding decisions.  

  • Own the development of business and marketing objectives, commercialization strategies, and launch plans that maximize organizational capabilities, strategic assets, and market opportunities.  

  • Partner with Clinical Affairs and Product Marketing to develop evidence-generation, publication, and messaging strategies that align clinical data with market needs and customer value.  

  • Identify, prioritize, and evaluate market segments, growth opportunities, and sources of incremental volume while assessing associated financial tradeoffs and strategic fit. 

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including value proposition development, pricing strategy, sales enablement tools, channel communications, and new marketing channels that support brand positioning and commercial objectives 

  • Monitor market dynamics, sales trends, and business performance to develop forecasts, define success metrics, and recommend actions that drive sustainable growth.  

  • Lead product lifecycle management activities, including launch planning, portfolio optimization, risk mitigation, and contingency planning for potential supply chain disruptions. 

 
What you need 

Required 
 Bachelor’s degree  
• 6+ years of work experience  

Ability to be onsite in or Mahwah, NJ office 3x a week

Preferred 
• MBA  
• 3+ years medical device or marketing experience preferred 
 


United States of America Pay Ranges:

  • US20: $123,100 - $205,200 USD Annual
