Job description
As our Senior Portfolio Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the ALS (Advanced Life Support) Portfolio within Stryker Medical’s Emergency Care business. This portfolio includes the iconic LIFEPAK monitor/defibrillators, a leading brand in the industry for over five decades. At Emergency Care, we provide life-saving tools to teams on the front lines—whether in ambulances, hospitals, or workplaces—empowering them to do what they do best: save lives.
In this role, you will work closely with the ALS Portfolio Marketing team to support the vision of advancing life-saving technologies, improving patient outcomes, and driving growth for the business. You will gather and analyze customer and market data to generate valuable insights, translating these into product specifications for future innovations. By collaborating with R&D and other cross-functional teams, you will be instrumental in defining and delivering new products that shape the future of advanced life support.
What you will do
- Design, execute, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research to inform product roadmap decisions
- Anticipate the needs of customers and patients and create a superior value proposition
- Obtain insights by leveraging key opinion leaders, internal and external customers
- Utilize market research and third-party data to identify key industry trends
- Build financial business case model to support new product development funding and product return on investment
- Responsible for delivering the business objective, marketing objective and leading the discovery process for the pre-commercialization plan
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to contribute to the new product development (NPDP) process
- Understand how to target customers based on total market potential and opportunity
- Leverage core competencies and the strategic assets of the organization to maximize new product development and launch planning
- Execute a product lifecycle management (PLCM) plan as it relates to the overall business and launch strategy
- Understand potential sources of new volume within current customer segment or outside of the current segment and the financial tradeoffs for pursuing each
- Understand and predict sales trends in the market
- Research key factors, measurements and variables used in forecasting
- Define performance criteria used for evaluating business trends and activities
What you need
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6 years of work experience required
Preferred:
- 3 years’ experience in product management, marketing, or portfolio strategy, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry
- Experience working with emergency care, advanced life support, or critical care products
$115,600 - $190,400 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
