Job description
As a Senior Manufacturing Service Engineer, you will develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, processes, and operation sequences supporting the repair and preventive maintenance of products. You will leverage engineering expertise to improve manufacturing efficiency, ensure product quality, and optimize repair processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance to cross-functional teams and evaluating OEM versus third-party repair solutions to demonstrate the value and robustness of OEM repair methodologies.
What You Will Do
- Drive manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflows, equipment utilization, facility layout, and space requirements.
- Evaluate and optimize production processes through labor, material, and cost analyses.
- Develop manufacturing solutions that improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Design and implement testing methods to validate product and process capabilities.
- Establish and maintain manufacturing standards that ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and implement the most effective and cost-efficient manufacturing methods, including automation opportunities where appropriate.
- Assess ergonomic risks and implement solutions that improve employee safety and productivity.
- Create, update, and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
- Lead equipment qualification and validation activities to support manufacturing and service operations.
- Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting complex process and product challenges.
- Evaluate OEM and third-party repair approaches and provide technical justification demonstrating the benefits of OEM repair solutions.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, production, service engineering, or related engineering experience.
- Ability to generate, follow, and communicate detailed operating procedures, assembly instructions, inspection methods, and engineering proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex product and process issues using sound engineering judgment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to make decisions that directly impact manufacturing and operational performance.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to hear and respond appropriately to safety alarms, announcements, and directives.
Preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, industrial, or service engineering environments.
- Experience supporting medical device manufacturing, repair, or service operations.
- Demonstrated process improvement experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, including; Kaizen, Kanban, Waste identification and elimination, Material and process flow optimization, Lead-time reduction.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and inspection or test equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert and provide technical mentorship to others.

- USN: $77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual
