Job description

Key Activities & Accountabilities

The responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant- Projects includes but are not limited to the following:

  • Assisting R2R teams with ERP implementation projects (SAP), including requirements gathering, system design, and system testing
  • Drive coordination efforts between R2R teams and project teams (such as process excellence, IT, I2P, Intercompany, local finance, and corporate finance)
  • Takes initiative and leads in the documentation of accounting projects and drives them to completion- including Blackline Modernization project
  • Assist R2R teams with implementing process improvements and drives cross-departmental improvements (Cash, Intercompany, AP)
  • Drive accounting and process standardization initiatives
  • Analyzes accounting transactions and ensures accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
  • Maintains and performs an effective system of Internal Controls (SOX) 
  • Leads discussions and collaboration with relevant stakeholders and Local Finance Teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information and regular updates.
  • Team support for the region from operational point of view.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor/HBO in Accounting or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting position
  • Experience in ERP systems and ERP implementations
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive
  • Accustomed to work on dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Team Player
  • Shared Service experience is preferred
  • Strong excel skills
  • Project management knowledge or experience is preferred
  • Communication, be able to effectively interact with all levels within the company
  • Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or other internal control concepts, knowledge of US GAAP would be an advantage
