Join Stryker in a leadership role focused on advancing environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing operations. This position provides strategic and operational oversight of employee health and safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, risk management, and team leadership. As a key member of the plant leadership team, you will partner with manufacturing and business leaders to ensure effective execution of environmental health and safety programs and processes.
What You Will Do
Lead the development and execution of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) strategies, plans, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation activities aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Manage EHS compliance programs and ensure adherence to applicable local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations, including reporting and agency interactions.
Direct EHS incident investigations, identify root causes, track corrective actions, and monitor trends to reduce workplace risks and improve safety performance metrics.
Oversee emergency response, hazardous material handling, waste management, compliance training, inspections, and management-of-change processes to maintain operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
Lead, develop, and manage EHS professionals and cross-functional initiatives while delivering required safety metrics, reports, and continuous improvement activities across the organization.
What You Will Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety leadership within a manufacturing, industrial, life sciences, or regulated environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams, managers, supervisors, or multi-site EHS programs.
Experience managing compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Experience developing and managing EHS budgets, programs, and performance metrics.
Preferred:
Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
Experience supporting medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience leading emergency response, hazardous waste management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
United States of America Pay Ranges:
$118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual
