Senior Engineer, EDT, Commercial ERP, Code Management

What you will do:

• Lead SAP code management, transport governance, and promotion activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability of SAP development objects by aligning requirements, technical designs, code changes, testing evidence, approvals, and production deployments.
• Conduct and coordinate technical reviews, code quality assessments, and compliance validations to strengthen security, performance, and maintainability.
• Govern release readiness by managing transport inventories, dependency mapping, deployment plans, validation criteria, and rollback procedures.
• Partner with development, QA, infrastructure, and support teams to execute seamless releases, cutovers, deployments, and hypercare activities.
• Monitor transport and deployment performance, troubleshoot issues, drive corrective actions, and proactively mitigate delivery risks.
• Maintain technical debt registers and recommend strategies for code simplification, standardization, and alignment with SAP best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation of transport controls, quality checks, release reporting, and deployment processes.
• Provide technical governance and guidance to internal teams and system integrators, ensuring adherence to development, documentation, and release standards.
• Deliver actionable reporting and insights on code quality, transport status, release readiness, technical debt, compliance, and operational risks.

What you will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including a proven track record delivering large-scale global ERP transformation programs.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP software engineering, technical delivery, transport management, release management, DevOps, or code governance.
• Strong hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP development concepts, technical objects, integrations, transports, and release processes.
• Experience implementing development lifecycle controls, conducting code reviews, performing technical quality assessments, and driving defect remediation.
• Working knowledge of source control, branching strategies, version management, CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates, and deployment best practices.
• Proficiency with SAP and enterprise delivery tools such as CTS+, ChaRM, SAP Solution Manager, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Deep understanding of SAP master data, enterprise integrations, middleware technologies, and cross-platform data architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across global, matrixed organizations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to independently lead initiatives, develop executive-ready documentation, and drive business outcomes in dynamic environments.
