What you will do:
The Senior Compliance Manager is a senior member of the Ethics and Compliance organization and oversees the Ethics and Compliance program, which supports the Corporate functions and the Global Quality and Operations (GQO) compliance program with a high level of independence.
The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for deploying the Compliance program strategy within their Business Unit/Division or Country to enable business results and effectively manage risk for the company. This role may also lead the Compliance Committee, drive alignment to the global Compliance strategy, and influence senior leadership and other stakeholders in identifying risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate mitigation efforts. This position is also responsible for ensuring the specific needs of its business or country are considered in strategic decisions regarding the Compliance Program and adapting global initiatives to meet the Business Unit/Division or Country business needs. This position is responsible for partnering with Senior Leadership within the Business Unit/Division or Country and their respective Compliance Committees to maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
The GQO and Corporate functions
Stryker’s Global Quality & Operations (GQO) is the centralized global function within Stryker that brings our products to life for our customers. Our 19,000+ people, located at over 40 sites worldwide, are responsible for procurement, planning, advanced operations, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, distribution, and logistics, which enable Stryker to deliver high-quality supplies.
The Corporate functions are the centralized function within Stryker that supports all our Global businesses. It comprises five distinct functions:
Corporate Affairs, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Global Legal & Compliance. The 2,000+ employees located globally are responsible for supporting and guiding the businesses they support.
You will:
Deploy the Ethics and Compliance program for Stryker Corporate Functions.
Support the Ethics and Compliance program for Global Quality and Operations.
Engage in compliance partnership with Global Process owners, eg. Corporate Social responsibility, RAQAC, Finance & Corporate affairs.
Influence and partner with senior business leaders to effectively enable business results and manage significant compliance risks.
Deploy tone at the top with leadership teams and drive a culture of ethics and compliance.
Engage in the development and delivery of training, policies, and guidance that support in line with business goals and the Ethics and Compliance strategy.
Implement the Ethics and Compliance strategy and goals within their Business Units/Divisions or Countries to empower business leadership and effectively manage risk for the company.
Deploy programs to ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards across regions.
Ensure effective ethics and compliance controls are in place, including written standards, education and communication, auditing and monitoring, third-party oversight, and corrective action.
Provide input to support continuous improvement of the compliance program and to reflect changes, clarifications, or updates in applicable law, regulations, policy, and business strategy.
Maintain deep knowledge of the businesses and their operations; use knowledge of business and compliance metrics to inform the strategy and goals.
Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, simplicity, and speed of action.
Support the Ethics and Compliance Leadership Team in reporting on the status of the compliance program on a regular basis.
Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Raise awareness of the compliance program and promote accountability for ethics and integrity.
Foster a continuous improvement mindset and propose enhancements to the Program informed by industry trends and best practices.
Participate in industry associations and engagements to raise the profile of the Ethics and Compliance program and the company.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
10+ years of professional work experience required.
5+ years of compliance or similar experience supporting financial teams is in large matrix organizations highly desirable.
Working experience with AdvaMed code and other relevant standards.
