Job description
What you will do:
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including sub-ledger postings, reconciliations, sub-ledger lockdown, GL posting, Fixed Assets accounting, Cash accounting, and corporate submissions.
Analyze financial statements.
Perform tasks related to the accounting cycle.
Support the execution of activities for internal and external audit requirements.
Collaborate with markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries related to accounting, escalating to the Lead Associate as needed.
Assist the R2R Manager in identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices.
Ensure a robust compliance environment with SOX, internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
Support the manager in reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
What you need:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
Fluent spoken and written in English (85%)
3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance/accounting role within a matrixed international company.
Preferred
Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or QAD systems
Experience working in a shared service center within a global or large organization
