Job description
Join a global finance organization supporting the Finance One optimization program within a shared services environment. In this role, you will perform advanced accounting activities, support month-end close processes, review key financial transactions, and collaborate with local and regional finance teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting across countries in scope.
What You Will Do
Perform complex accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations to support timely and accurate financial records.
Serve as a subject matter expert for intercompany accounting processes and related transactions.
Analyze financial statements and investigate variances, discrepancies, and reporting issues.
Coordinate close activities and support delivery of critical accounting deadlines and reporting requirements.
Execute assigned internal control activities, including compliance with audit and financial reporting requirements.
Partner with local accounting teams to resolve accounting inquiries and reconciliation issues within established timelines.
Develop and maintain process documentation, deliver training to team members, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardization.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a shared services center or multinational organization.
Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QAD.
Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
Portuguese language proficiency.
