Schedule & On-Call Requirements

This position requires an on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support trauma cases as they arise. While this level of availability is essential for the role, we understand it may not be suitable for every candidate. Candidates who choose not to pursue this position due to the on-call demands will not be negatively evaluated or penalized in future opportunities with our organization.

What you will do 

As a Sales Representative, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the selling of Stryker products (specifically Stryker's Joint Replacement and Trauma portfolios) to physicians and to obtain maximum profitability and volume. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Joint Replacement and Trauma sales team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.  

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation  

  • Directly responsible for the promotion and sale of Stryker products  

  • Educates and informs doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel as to the proper use and maintenance of Stryker Products  

  • Directs product evaluations in operating rooms and office settings  

  • May assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings  

  • Keeps Manager informed of territory progress on a regular basis  

  • Solves product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion  

  • Managing and maintaining a sample inventory of products  

  • Must understand and adhere to all operating room and pertinent Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines when conducting a product evaluation  

  • Has the necessary authority to execute above mentioned job responsibilities, and will have authority to carry out specific responsibilities defined by quality system documents  

  • Has authority to recommend and initiate preventative and correction action with regard to product non-conformances and quality system activities  

 

What you need 

Required: 

  • University Degree  

  • 3+ years outside sales experience  

  • Must have reliable daily transportation and the ability to travel as needed—by ground or air—to support territory coverage and other company duties. 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license 

 

Preferred: 

  • Degree in business with an emphasis in marketing OR a degree in a health-related discipline, science, or kinesiology  

  • 3+ years in Medical Device Sales  

Additional Information: 

  • Must be able to travel (ground and air) to support territory responsibilities as well as company-related duties and obligations  

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
