Job description

As a Quality Engineer Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards for processing returned materials, components, and finished products. You will also work cross‑functionally with Stryker teams to support external customer and internal stakeholder expectations. Schedule: Monday - Friday, day shift hours (flexible). Overtime may be needed based on business need.

What you will do

  • Receive, Investigate, Inspect, Test, and Disposition products.
  • Process product returns in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Develop, improve, and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and reliability of products and/or production and/or test equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to product inspection and testing processes.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on products.
  • Develop understanding of product components for recovery and product repair.
  • Maintain documentation for statistical processes and data analysis.
  • Perform required tasks to ensure all requirements of Stryker's quality system are met.
  • Assist in various quality-related projects.

What you need

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of professional technical experiences, preferably in medical device or regulated industries.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with and inspect very small objects, component parts, and tools.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, etc. up to 40 lbs.

Preferred

  • Associate of Science in an engineering or science discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a Quality-related position
  • Experience with Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint/engineering schematics
  • Knowledge of inspection methods in the design and production of electro-mechanical and/or mechanical equipment


Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
