2nd shift: Sun - Thurs, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

*QC Technician II will train on 1st shift and then transition to 2nd shift

What you will do:

As the 2nd shift QC Technician II, you will be responsible for instrument maintenance, reagent preparation, and general laboratory support. Additional duties are listed below.

  • Prepare reagents and solutions used for routine and non-routine analyses, such as buffers, diluents, and culture media.   
  • Manages sample and reagent coordination prior to and following testing activities.   
  • Responsible for ordering and stocking laboratory supplies.  
  • Perform laboratory maintenance activities including but not limited to equipment preventative maintenance, calibration, disposal of waste, and cleaning laboratory areas.  
  • Perform laboratory glassware cleaning and stocking activities. 
  • Performs analysis for raw materials, in-process solutions, stability, and finished goods, including but not limited to pH, appearance, taste, physical and smell testing.
  • Perform routine and non-routine sampling and testing of pharmaceutical water systems, compressed gas systems, production lines, and environmental monitoring (EM) of the production facility.
  • Supports stability program as needed.
  • Prepares and ships samples to contract laboratories.
  • Perform other laboratory operations activities as needed.  

What you will need: 

Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2+ manufacturing experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • 1+ years working in a Good Practice laboratory environment. 
  • Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related technical field.
  • Experience working in current Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Experience with common laboratory equipment such as balance, graduated cylinders, etc.
  • Experience with solution preparation.
