Job description

As the Project Manager, R&D you will be responsible for the leadership and directing of moderate complexity projects, which may require considerable resources.  Responsibility for all aspects of the project from initiation to completion. You will interface with all stakeholders affected by the project including end users.

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Denver, Colorado office. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week and can work from home on other days.

What You Will Do

The Project Manager role will lead cross-functional projects to bring new products to market for our Sports Medicine business and ensures they meet the clinical needs and quality expectations of our customers.  This individual plays a critical role in driving projects forward in a predictable and expedient manner, while staying accountable to timeline, budget, resources and risk management.

The Project Manager has direct responsibility for keeping the Senior Leadership Team informed of project status. Through their personal leadership, influence and communication, they must inspire confidence in the team’s ability to execute. This team member is a valuable contributor in quickly and effectively launching our products to market to serve our customers and patients!

Responsibilities:

  • Leads project teams by providing technical and project management expertise to bring new products to market for our Sports Medicine business.

  • Manages the project timeline, budget, resources, and risks to meet design control requirements and follow the Sports Medicine Business Process.

  • Leads project teams of varying size/scale and complexity with strategic focus on the most efficient path to completion. Identifies opportunities during the course of project management and seeks out creative solutions that may be implemented systemically.

  • Promotes a culture of project management and accountability across the team. Engages team members and sets direction in a way that delivers results and inspires others.

  • Direct responsibility for keeping the Senior Leadership Team informed of project status; helps drive Portfolio investment strategy.

  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Builds credibility through effective and proactive relationship management and stakeholder management.

  • Proactively manages and mitigates project risks. Facilitates timely and data-driven decision-making to support the project timeline and budget, engaging stakeholders and leaders, as needed.

  • Predictive understanding of impacts of decisions throughout organization.

What you need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Biomedical engineering or related field

  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience, including 2 years project management experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on design or related engineering experience

  • Experience working in a regulated environment; knowledge of medical device quality systems, manufacturing and design controls is preferred.

  • PMP or equivalent preferred

$96,400 - $158,00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
