Job description

What you will do:

Responsible for meeting daily production goals for the workstation assigned. Prepares the workstations and makes necessary adjustments to machinery. Directs operators to follow directions and complete tasks according to established parameters.

  • Coordinate the preparation of workstations, ensure machinery is properly adjusted, and verify that equipment is in good condition to meet production targets.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring associates do the same, and ensure all work orders and procedures are properly followed during production.

  • Monitor the flow of materials and verify that daily output aligns with production plans, addressing any process issues that could affect product quality.

  • Ensure that all manufacturing documents are up to date and meet ISO, QSR, and EHS policies while supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Influence and motivate employees to achieve production goals, ensure teamwork, and assist the Unit Supervisor with initiatives.

  • Train new employees on manufacturing procedures, coordinate cross-training, and maintain accurate training records.

  • Prepare production reports and ensure that employees comply with safety and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Actively participate in environmental and safety programs, report deviations, manage hazardous waste, and contribute to environmental improvement projects.

What you need:

  • 5 years (minimum) experience as a machine operator/machinist preferably 

  • 3 years (minimum) experience in a management role 

  • High school diploma, preferably an Associate in machining of tool and die

  • Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 

  • Knowledge on machinery
