Job description

Summary:

In this role, you will provide expert clinical, technical, and procedural support across a leading Joint Replacement portfolio, including robotic-assisted surgical solutions. You will work alongside surgeons, theatre teams, and commercial partners to help drive procedural excellence, technology adoption, and improved patient outcomes across your assigned territory.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver in-theatre clinical and technical support for Joint Replacement procedures, including both conventional and robotic-assisted surgeries.

  • Guide surgeons and operating theatre teams on the appropriate use of implants, instrumentation, and enabling technologies to support procedural accuracy and patient outcomes.

  • Prepare and review pre-operative imaging and surgical plans using robotic planning software, supporting implant sizing, positioning, and execution.

  • Provide case coverage, including support for new account implementations, technology launches, and complex procedures across assigned territories.

  • Conduct product education, workshops, in-service training sessions, and clinical evaluations for surgeons, theatre staff, sterilization departments, radiology teams, and other healthcare stakeholders.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to communicate clinical value, identify growth opportunities, increase product utilization, and support account development objectives.

  • Manage consignment inventory, implants, instruments, disposables, and capital equipment through accurate auditing, forecasting, stock rotation, and asset tracking practices.

  • Maintain quality and regulatory compliance by documenting clinical activities, tracking product usage, reporting customer feedback and complaints, and ensuring adherence to company quality systems.

What You Need

Required

  • Matric

  • National Diploma in Health Sciences, Biokinetics, Sports Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical, operating theatre, or healthcare environment.

  • Valid South African Driver’s License.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital clinical software systems.

Preferred

  • Tertiary Education i.e. College or University

  • Experience supporting medical devices, surgical technologies, or capital equipment within a healthcare setting.

  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, surgical navigation systems, or digital surgical planning technologies.

  • Exposure to Joint Replacement procedures or orthopaedic surgery support.

Additional Information

  • Field-based role with regular travel to hospitals and healthcare facilities within the assigned territory.

  • Frequent presence in operating theatres and clinical environments is required.

  • Participation in occasional after-hours and case-support activities may be required to meet customer and procedural needs.

  • Valid driver’s license required due to travel demands.

  • Relocation support is not provided unless otherwise specified during the recruitment process.
