Job description
Within the OrthoTech division, our Surgical Planning team develops innovative medical software to facilitate and improve the image guidance workflow for orthopedic surgeries as well as to connect with core technology of Stryker products, including surgical robotics, image-guided procedures, and patient-specific implants.
As a Product Owner within our team, you act as a key interface between customers, clinical stakeholders, and the development organization.
Working closely with Customers, Marketing, Systems Engineering, and product leadership, you translate clinical and business values into product roadmap and requirements. You ensure that technical implementation fulfills user needs, supporting the development of clinically relevant and competitive solutions, delivering value to surgeons and patients.
Your key responsibilities
- You will act as Product Owner interacting with a cross-functional Agile team including AI, software & algorithm developers, quality, and testing to organize software iterations and define development priorities.
- You and the project team will be responsible for AI & Computer Vision based software components using advanced algorithms and deep learning technologies for an automated & intelligent image guided surgical workflow impacting hundreds of thousands of patients per year.
- You will plan, manage, and communicate the product vision, releases and features to stakeholders, leaders, and the development team and bring a strong product to market.
- You participate in voice of customer activities and surgeon interactions to validate concepts, gather customer’s feedback and refine requirements
- You will support the Agile Team to formalize development by defining and organizing software requirements and contributing to testing and validation protocols.
- You will collaborate with software, system engineering, regulatory and quality teams to create and maintain the design control documentation of our medical device software products.
- You will support in the observation and communication of product KPI’s to stakeholders and identify operational improvements from said metrics.

Your Profile
- You have a university degree in Biomedical Engineering or a similar technical field of study with several years of professional experience.
- ~4–5 years of experience in the MedTech industry or a similar environment
- You can identify opportunities in the clinical and business aspects to develop a product vision, and to identify and prioritize value delivery of a product
- You have a good understanding and can apply related principles and framework including user-centered design and system engineering to the development process
- You have knowledge of Agile software principles and software development life cycle in a field with strong regulatory constraints including medical devices.
- You have experience working in cross-functional teams
- You are passionate about your product and proactively promote your product vision with energy and a perfect mixture of structure and creativity.
- You have fluent English skills enabling you to interact easily in an innovative and international environment.
- Clinical and technical knowledge of surgical planning in the knee and hip domain is a strong plus
