What you will do-
As a Payroll Analyst you will be required to occasionally come into the Kalamazoo office. Ideally this person will spend one to two days of their choosing each week onsite.
Our team is looking for an experienced payroll analyst to join the team and contribute to our success. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact the experience our employees and managers have regarding their pay. Specialists will interact with other Stryker employees ensuring exceptional service and timely and accurate responses to all inquiries.

Additional responsibilities:
- Delivering excellent customer service and a positive experience, in response to phone and online inquiries from employees and managers, is required.
- You will be expected to quickly resolve inquiries by accessing information, identifying root causes to problems, and responding to cases escalated to payroll via the myHR portal.
- There will be times you need to solve complicated payroll inquiries to ensure accurate payments are received. This means you will partner with business facing HR, and COEs, as appropriate to resolve issues.
- You will also process payroll transactions utilizing Workday. This includes maintaining payroll setup for earnings and deductions codes, tax mappings, garnishment vendors, State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rates and divisional general ledger costing.
- It’s important payroll is processed correctly, so you will perform quality assurance reviews on electronic and manual transactions. We expect high volumes and a fast-paced environment, so you will need to have the ability to manage your workload efficiently.
What You Need
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of work experience in payroll
Preferred
- 1+ years of federal, state, and local tax reporting experience
- Demonstrated expertise in HRIS and payroll systems; preferred experience with ADP systems and Workday Payroll
- Experience using MS Office specifically advanced MS Excel and analytical skills
- Typing proficiency and experience using a case management system such as ServiceNow
