Job description
Under general supervision, is responsible for accurate and timely processing of routine laboratory testing and procedures required in the Laboratory.
Main task:
- Comply with all regulatory and quality systems standard requirements
- Perform microbiology tests according to written procedures
- Perform environmental sampling to the controlled areas of manufacturing
- Conduct compliance audits to the manufacturing areas
- Properly use test equipment in the microbiology laboratory
- Perform routine record keeping and report writing duties for all microbiology tests
- Provide communications and reports to laboratory management as needed
- Handle samples for external laboratories according to written procedures
- Approve the sterilization certificates for final disposal of the product
- Support the sterilization validation area
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Policies
- Required to comply with documentation and procedures and policies
- Maintain the lab and equipment in a safe and organized manner including the handling of hazardous or dangerous materials and equipment as required for some labs
- Observe safety procedures and protocols including those for safe handling and storage of hazardous
- Works from verbal and/or written directions/instructions.
- May be required to perform other duties as required to the operations and according tohis/her abilities and skills

- Reading, writing, math, and measuring skills
- Ability to select and operate situational appropriate measurement equipment accurately
- Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.)
- Must be able to follow and explain detailed instructions and procedures
- Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately
- Must be able to prioritize work effectively
- Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine issues using independent judgment and inspection equipment
- 2 year’s minimum experience in laboratory function
