What you will do-
Materials Manager is responsible of all aspects of materials flow to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, procurement, planning, scheduling, manufacturing, warehousing, receiving and shipping to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. Provides leadership for the implementation of the Supply Chain thru an effective and efficient process.
- Manage all aspects of materials and production planning in adherence with corporate, divisional policies to achieve plant and departmental goals.
- Ensures distribution of supplies in the organization & collaborates with other managers to determine supply needs.
- Communicates supply plans thru ERP updates, reports and various communication tools to production, quality, engineering & related departments.
- Track and development of cost saving initiatives and process efficiencies.
- Drive Key performance indicators such as inventory health, delivery promptness, back order, service level, production attainment by implementing a strategic plan to achieve them.
- Lead the continuous Improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives within the Supply Chain.
- Establish inventory targets, monitor and manage inventory turns/days of inventory, maintain re-order levels and minimize excess and obsolete risks.
- Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities within the department.
- Develop, maintain, and improve policies and procedures for the operation of department activities.
- Fulfill department staffing requirements, provides coaching and conducts performance appraisals.
- Assesses qualifications and competency of staff, completes performance reviews on timely basis according to established guidelines. Provides orientation and training to staff to improve skills and performance. Facilitates innovation and motivates staff to effectively attain operational satisfaction.
What you need-
- Bachelor’s Degree related to supply chain responsibilities - required
- 8+ years' experience - required
- Financial knowledge or training
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel mid-level expertise and Power Point)
- Supply chain experience - preferred
- ERP Experienced, SAP - preferred
