Job description

What you will do:

The Master Data Associate manager plays a key part in the day-to-day leadership of a Master Data Maintenance team, ensuring effective collaboration with divisional partners and maintaining agreed service levels. It also contributes to strategic initiatives by supporting MDM activities related to upcoming ERP implementations. Beyond operational oversight, the role helps shape and strengthen master data management capabilities by driving the adoption of data quality standards, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Supervise the Master Data Maintenance team by providing direction, distributing workload, and offering clear communication and support to achieve goals.

  • Lead and support the gathering of business requirements and the design and improvement of future state master data processes.

  • Drive data cleansing, transformation, remediation, and validation efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency across key data domains.

  • Define and implement data standards and maintain system documentation such as metadata, dictionaries, and lineage records.

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify data issues, analyze root causes, and lead remediation and cleanup initiatives.

  • Establish data quality requirements and key performance indicators to monitor timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.

  • Develop and implement business rules and data quality monitoring processes for critical data elements.

  • Support compliance initiatives, including SOX requirements, by maintaining automated data processes and ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and financial controls.

What you need

Required

  • 5 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM), vendor master, customer vendor, or data governance, within a multinational company or shared services environment.

  • At least 2 years of direct people management experience as a team lead or supervisor.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English (B2+ level / 85% proficiency)

  • Experience with MS Office programs and business Intelligence tools, preferably Microsoft Reporting Services or Power BI.

  • ERP systems such as SAP (including MDG) or Oracle.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).

  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence applications related to data management is a plus.
