What you will do-

The Manager, Strategic Communications, Global Quality and Operations (GQO) is a creative, strategic communicator with a passion for driving change and shaping organizational culture. You will have an opportunity to partner with business leaders to build a connected, engaged and inspired workforce across our global supply chain. In this role you will be a multi-modal content creator and business storyteller who is responsible for developing, distributing and measuring compelling, impactful communications that align to the GQO supply chain communications strategy. Communications activities connect global audiences across a diverse group of employees ranging from enterprise and functional leaders to operators who proudly produce our medical equipment and technology around the world.

This role requires the individual to partner with key business stakeholders and continually build and evolve audience expertise to drive business results. Experience with supply chain communications such as procurement, manufacturing or distribution functions is highly valued. Along with strong business and creative writing skills, the ideal candidate will thrive in a rapidly evolving, growth environment.

Key responsibilities may include newsletter content, leader communications, organizational announcements, change communications, project communications, internal Microsoft channels, events and brand experiences. This role is at the forefront of the employee experience and is an integral member of a GQO Corporate Affairs and Communications team that leverages and builds upon one another ‘s unique strengths to foster a culture of purpose, talent, relationships and growth.

This is a remote position, ideally located near areas where Stryker has a strong manufacturing or logistics presence such as: Kalamazoo, Michigan or Mahwah, New Jersey.

  • Develops and implements communication strategies that align with business goals, ensuring consistency, clarity, and effectiveness.

  • Supports operational change through strategic communication planning and execution.

  • Establishes and optimizes internal communication systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company branding.

  • Builds relationships across the organization to gather insights that inform messaging, ensuring communications resonate with stakeholders.

  • Writes, edits, and curates a variety of content formats (articles, presentations, video, graphics) to support communication strategies.

  • Balances appropriate levels of communications transparency with respect for specified confidentiality.

  • Champions creativity and quality in communication, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines while exploring innovative ways to engage audiences.

  • Plans and executes key events that effectively communicate goals and strategy to diverse audiences.

  • Works with internal teams, external agencies, and leadership to advance communication initiatives and drive business impact.

  • Establishes mechanisms to measure communication effectiveness, using data to refine strategies and enhance engagement.

  • Leverages new tools and platforms to enhance communication efforts, keeping up with industry trends and best practices.

What you need-

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of work experience
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) 

Preferred qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in related communications or marketing field preferred
  • Graphic communications skills preferred
  • Video editing skills preferred
  • Preference for candidates located near a Stryker manufacturing site

$100,500 - $198,700k salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
